Privacy

Your media stays on your device. Here is what that means in practice. Updated October 13, 2026.

Media, names and results

Selected media, file names, waveforms and generated results are processed in browser memory. MuteVid has no media upload endpoint and does not send them to a conversion service. Replacing a file or leaving the page releases application references; downloading saves a result wherever you choose.

Normal website requests

Your browser still downloads HTML, styles, JavaScript and the processing engine. Cloudflare serves these resources and may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser headers and requested URL for delivery, security and diagnostics. Local media processing does not mean there are no network requests.

No advertising or analytics SDKs

This release does not install advertising, session recording or third-party analytics scripts. We do not store your media or editing settings in an account. Your browser may cache public website and engine resources, not the media you select.

When you share a result

Download and system Share are actions you initiate. If you share a file to another app or service, that destination receives the file according to its own privacy rules.

Public dev environment

dev.mutevid.com is a public testing environment with noindex directives. It follows the same local-processing design. Do not treat noindex as access control.
